Veteran boys coach Dan Kinghorn takes over the girls program following the departure of Glenn Arndt, who moved to Connersville.

The Trojans did claim one of those coveted top-five spots in the Franklin Central Semistate last year, placing fourth behind Westfield, Noblesville and Center Grove. Chatard went on to finish seventh in the state.

Chatard returns five of its top seven runners in Carly Sobelewski, Christine Kirby, Lindsey Laconi, Katie Rudolph and Angela Nebesny. Kristen Salyer and Emily Boyce are expected to contribute to the varsity this year as well.
