First-year coach Terese Schurger has seen consistent improvement from her girls team. Six of the nine team members are seniors, and everyone on the team swam season bests at the Dec. 1 Southport Invitational.

"All of them have improved this season so far," Schurger said. "It's a great team that has worked hard."

Attie Kempf, Elizabeth Oakley and Ellie Smith are senior captains. Amanda Stillabower, Samantha Wagner and Kendra White are the other seniors. Sophomores Mandy Meiner and Kathleen Weaver and freshman Andrea Sergi make up the rest of the team.

The Trojans compete today at 9 a.m. in the Hamilton Heights Invitational.
