Which one of these scores doesn't belong: 10-2, 0-16, 11-1, 10-3, 8-4.

Bishop Chatard entered this season with high expectations as seven seniors returned from a sectional championship team, and most fans would have accepted a 4-1 start. But that 16-0 loss to Cathedral changes the complexion of that record.

"(That game) was disappointing," coach Mike Harmon said. "We walked eight guys, weren't very aggressive at the plate, they pounded out 16 hits. . . . Overall, (that game) was not good. I'm not sure where our mind-set was. It appeared to be good before the game, and I'd be disappointed if we were psyched out (by Cathedral), but we were no match for them."

The Trojans rebounded to rout Guerin Catholic 11-1 on Friday after being rained out Thursday, then ran off wins over Ritter (10-3 on Saturday) and Roncalli (8-4 on Monday). They had beaten Southport 10-2 in the season opener. The team is scheduled to play Warren Central and Muncie Central this week.

"We talked about learning from (the Cathedral loss) and pointed out where some little things snowballed," Harmon said. "The last thing I wanted to do was sit (Thursday), but we got the game in Friday, played a little bit better and got off to a good start against Ritter but sputtered at the end. We've got a lot of work to do. I'm looking forward to this week."
