I've got big shoes to fill," said Silvey, as Bishop Chatard had never won a sectional prior to Sweeney's arrival four seasons ago. "The commitment level is outstanding by all the kids and I'm excited by that (but) there's a lot of work to be done. The program lost six seniors and all six were big contributors in practices or games.

"That's going to be a big challenge but our job is to get the kids prepared."

Silvey, 56, was an assistant at Bishop Chatard in 2004-05 and '05-06, then took over at Park Tudor. He went 16-6 in his first season, losing to eventual state champion Heritage Christian, 55-47, in the sectional title game. The Panthers were 7-13 last season.
