Cross Country State Finals; All-State Honors

Congratulations to BCHS junior Mary Davis as she finished 9th in the state at the Girls' State Cross Country Meet. This qualifies her for All-State honors. She also was named Honorable Mention, Academic All-State. Congratulations to Will Shine, Will Soffera, and Daniel Soffera who have been named to the IATCCC Academic All-State Team.

Girls Cross Country Semi-State

Mary Davis placed 7th in the Semi-State and advances to the State Finals. Congratulations Mary!

Girls Cross Country Regionals

The girls cross country team placed 9th in the Brebeuf Regional on Saturday. Mary Davis finished 4th and has qualified individually for the semi-state. Sophie Meier and Elaine Wessel also had great performances. Congratulations on a great season and good luck to Mary in semi-state on Saturday!

Sectionals

Boys: The boys cross country team finished 6th in the very competitive Brebeuf Sectional last night and just missed qualifying for Regionals. The boys ran their best race of the season. Congratulations to Daniel Soffera, Nick Boyce, Patrick Ciresi, Joel Burch, Will Shine, Jackson Naylor-Cook and Andy Barnett for a great season!
Girls: The Girls Cross Country team placed 4th in the Sectionals and advance to the Regionals. Mary Davis was the individual champion and Arden Burch earned All-Sectional honors.

City Meet

Sept. 30: Freshmen Boys: The freshman boys cross country team finished 2nd in the City Meet. Ryan Schilling finished 4th and John Sklorenko 10th to lead the Trojans
JV Boys: The boys JV cross country team dominated the City Meet with a convincing victory. Will Shine and Paul Rumer finished 2nd and 3rd to lead the Trojans. Tom Ford, Luke Felabom, Kenny Kirschner, Liam Foran, and Dustin Rhodes followed closely and all finished in the top 9.
Boys Varsity: The boys varsity cross country team finished 3rd in the City Meet. Nick Boyce and Daniel Soffera both earned All-City honors.
Freshmen Girls:The freshman girls cross county team finished 2nd in the City Meet. Bridget Kartholl was the top Trojan finishing in 5th place.
JV Girls: The girls JV team finished 2nd in the City Meet. Caroline Springer, Laura Oldiges, and Rachel Ward all placed in the top 10 to help the Trojans.
Varsity Girls: The girls varsity team finished 2nd in the City Meet. Mary Davis was the Individual champion. Arden Burch, Sophie Meier and Emily Lux all earned All-City honors.

Culver Invitational

Sept. 25: Girls: The girls cross country team competed in the highly compettitve Culver Invitational and finished 21st in the large school division. Mary Davis led the Trojans and broke the school record in the process. The Trojans also received great efforts from Katie Barnes and Emily Lux.
Boys: The boys cross country team finished 3rd out of 33 teams in the Culver Invitational on Saturday. Nick Boyce,Daniel Soffera, Patrick Ciresi, Jackson Naylor-Cook, and Andy Barnett all finished in the top 50 to lead the Trojans.

vs Crispus Attucks

The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams both placed first at Crispus Attucks on Sept 7. The top five runners for the boys meet were: Will Soffera(1st), Joel Burch, Pat Ciresi, Andy Barnett, and Jackson Naylor-Cook; for the girls: Kara Sobolewski(1st), Rachel Ward, Laura Oldiges, Stephanie Barnes, and Paige Powers.

New Prairie Invitational

Sept. 18: Boys: The Boys Cross Country team finished 4th out of 31 teams at the New Prairie Invitational on Saturday. Nick Boyce, Daniel Soffera, Patrick Ciresi, and Jackson Naylor-Cook formed a strong pack to lead the Trojans.
Girls: The girls cross country team finished 6th out of 33 teams at the New Prairie Invitational on Saturday. Mary Davis was the Individual Champion, while Arden Burch and Sophie Meier contributed strong performances for the team.

All-Catholic State Championships

Sept. 11: Girls JV: The girls JV cross country team finished 4th out of 16 teams in the All-Catholic State championships on Saturday. Bridget Hutson, Courtney Wheelock, Laura Burger, and Grace Hutson led the team and all 4 earned their varsity letter by hitting the automatic qualifying standard.
Boys JV: The boys JV cross country team finished 4th out of 16 in the All-Catholic State Championships on Saturday. Will Shine, Liam Foran, Paul Rumer, Kenny Kirschner, and Tom Ford led the team on Saturday and all 5 earned their varsity letter by acheiving the automatic letter standard.
Boys Varsity: The boys cross country team finished 6th out of 16 teams in the All-Catholic State Championships on Saturday. Nick Boyce, Daniel Soffera, Patrick Ciresi, Joel Burch, Jackson Naylor-Cook, and Andy Barnett all ran their fastest times of the year and gave a great team effort. Girls Varsity: The girls cross country team finished 5th out of 16 teams in the All-Catholic state meet on Saturday. Arden Burch and Sophie Meier finished 9th and 12th to once again lead the Trojans. Kara Sobolewski, Stephanie Barnes, and Paige Powers all contributed great efforts.

Bishop Chatard Invitational

The girls cross country team tied North Central for first place in the Bishop Chatard Invitational on Sept 1, but were beaten on the tiebreaker. The Trojans were led by champion Arden Burch and runner up Sophie Meier! Final Placment: 2 of 6.
The boys cross country team finished 2nd in the Bishop Chatard Invitational. The team received a strong performance from Daniel Soffera who finished 2nd in the race.

Girls in the Noblesville Relays

The girls cross country team won the Noblesville Relays on Aug 28. The tandem of Arden Burch and Mary Davis finished first and beat their nearest compettitors by 1:20. Partners Sophie Meier/Emily Lux finished fifth and Katie Barnes/Stephanie Barnes finished 7th to help seal the victory for the Trojans.

The Trojans put together a great team effort. Top pair Daniel and Will Soffera were in third place before an injury forced them out of the race. Partners PatCiresi/Joel Burch, Jackson Naylor-Cook/Andy Barnett, Kenny Kirschner/Will Shine, and Liam Foran/Luke Felabom all picked up the slack and led the Trojans to the 3rd place finish
