Soccer
Girls vs Roncalli
After falling behind 1-0 to Roncalli in the second half, the Lady Trojans responded with three unanswered goals to give the five seniors a win on senior night. Freshman Krissy Kirkhoff score twice, while Junior Katelyn Barron scored a goal and assisted on another. Girls vs Guerin
Sept 16: JV: Sophomore goalkeeper Katie Armstrong and the defense held strong but gave up the lone goal of the game and lost 1-0 to Guerin Catholic.
Girls vs Park Tudor
Sept 13: Sophomore Shelby Barron scored the lone goal for the Lady Trojans as they tied Park Tudor 1-1. Senior Elizabeth Schueth scored two goals in the first time to give the Trojans a 2-0 lead at the half. With the game tied and two minutes to play, senior Nikki Kimack scored the game winner to give the Trojans a 3-2 win. Varsity Girls vs Scecina
Sept 9: Junior Katelyn Barron scored 3 goals while the defense earned their fifth shutout of the season. Final Score: W 9-0 Girls vs Plainfield
Sept. 7: JV: Sophomore Shelby Barron scored the lone goal as the JV girls soccer team lost 2-1 to the Lady Quakers of Plainfield. Girls Varsity/JV Soccer vs Pendelton Heights
Freshman Erin Crone, and Sophomores Caroline Bussell and Shelby Barron all scored to give the JV girls soccer team their first win of the season, 3-1. Junior Katelyn Barron assisted both goals scored by freshman Krissy Kirkhoff in the girls 2-1 win over Pendleton Heights. Junior goalkeeper Colleen Keating added 7 saves to lead the Trojan defense on Sept 1. Boys Varsity/JV Soccer vs Guerin Catholic
The JV Trojans played a great game against Guerin Catholic on Aug 28. Though behind most of the game, they kept themselves within range. When a penalty kick came our way with 2 minutes left, Quinn Lectner was able to put it in the back of the net to tie the game, 1-1, which held as the final score. The Varsity Trojans played really well for most of the game. Their goal was a mis-communication between our goalie and our defender. Though a player short because of a red card at the 50 minute mark, the Trojans were were able to control the rest of the game and put a lot of pressure on the opponents. However, we could not get a goal to drop. Final score: L 0-1 Boys Varsity Soccer vs Brebeuf
Aug. 24: The Varsity Trojans played even with Brebeuf for 30 minutes of the first half until they snuck one in. But, by 10 minutes and 30 seconds into the second half, Brebeuf had scored 4 goals. They had a last second goal to make the score 0-6. Cory Quiesser gave an exceptional effort, as he ran midfield for 80 minutes and never slowed down. Girls Soccer vs Brebeuf
Aug. 23: The Lady Trojan defense earned their 4th shutout in five games last night while playing the Brebuef Braves to a scoreless tie, 0-0. Girls Soccer vs Heritage Christian
Aug. 18: In the first JV game, Jamie Boso and Caroline Bussell each scored a goal for the Lady Trojans to help the team earn a tie, 2-2 against Heritage Christian. The Varsity Lady Trojans moved to 2-0 on the season with a 2-0 win over Heritage Christian. Goals were score by senior Kylie Quiesser and freshman Krissy Kirkhoff, her first career goal as a Trojan. With back to back shutouts, the Lady Trojans next play Franklin Central in the New Palestine Invitational on Saturday. Girls Soccer vs Lawrence Central
Aug. 16: Elizabeth Schueth scored the game winner and the defense held strong to secure the shutout win vs Lawrence Central, 1-0. |
