March 24: The Trojans captured their first win of the season by topping Brebeuf in a hard fought home match. The potent offence of David Lawrence and smooth digs of Carlouis Rodriguez lead the way to victory. Final Score: Win 25-20, 25-12, 24-26, 26-24
The varsity volleyball team concluded its season Saturday in the sectional semifinals, as the Lady Trojans bowed out to #2 Roncalli, 23-25, 14-25, 18-25. #1 Brebeuf went on the win the sectional, making this the toughest sectional in 3A. The team spent the season ranked between 4th and 7th in 3A, and were City runners-up. They lost just 3 matches in October heading into sectional. Congratulations on a great season, ladies!
Sept. 29: Claire Manuzak served 13 straight points in the first match and Abby Hart ruled the net with her middle block as the Freshmen Lady Trojans defeated North Central, 25-24, 25-22
Sept 13: vs Roncalli: This was a tough match for the Freshman, but some shining moments did come from left sides, Remy Ewing and Anna Cunningham. Libero's Claire Powers and Mary Williams had a great serve receive match. Final Score: L 14-25, 22-25
Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Volleyball team as they defeated two ranked teams on their way to 2nd place in the Yorktown Invite on Aug 28. They defeated then No.1-ranked Brebeuf and No.9-ranked Delta before falling to No.3 ranked Bellmont.
