Corydon football's dream year ends in 38-6 nightmare loss to Chatard
No. 1 Chatard takes charge all the way in Class 3-A semistate

Chatard, the defending Class 3-A state football champion, convinced Corydon of its dominance and destination Friday night.

The No. 1 Trojans ended the Panthers. historic tournament journey with a 38-6 victory in the semistate at Corydon. Chatard (12-2) will have an opportunity to add to its IHSAA-record 10 state championships when it meets No. 6 South Bend St. Joseph.s (12-2) in the title game next Saturday....

The Trojans steamrolled through the first four weeks of the 3-A tournament, winning by a combined score of 168-35. They added another blowout victim in their quest for their ninth state title since 1997.
