Bishop Chatard outlasts Cardinal Ritter 42-27
Chatard's Kleinschmidt runs for 212 yards; Ritter's Purichia, Cmehil connect for 4 TDs

It obviously didn't show in the final score, but Class 3A No. 1 Bishop Chatard High School looked to be in trouble for quite some time in its 42-27 victory over Cardinal Ritter on Friday night.

The Class 2A No. 7 Raiders scored on their initial possession and still had a 6-0 lead when Eddie Cmehil hauled in a 52-yard pass from quarterback Jake Purichia, giving them a first-and-10 at the Chatard 38-yard line.

But any thoughts of a Ritter upset were vanquished soon after that. Chatard (4-1) scored 21 points in the final 4:04 of the first half and was in control for the remainder of a sloppily played game at Broad Ripple High School.
