Bishop Chatard Road sweet road. Bishop Chatard is in the midst of playing eight straight road games -- losing the first three and heading to University at 7:30 tonight -- but coach Chris Quinn believes it can work to the team's advantage. "I told the guys, 'Hopefully this is going to make us tougher when we get down to the end of the season,' " he said. "Two years ago, we (reached semi-state) and it was just like this. We had all these road games. We're hoping it will make us road tough because, obviously, in sectionals you've got to win on the road." In 2003-04, the Trojans (6-6) finished the season with seven of their last eight games on the road, losing the first three to fall to 7-7 before going on an 8-2 run that carried them to semistate. Quinn said the program will look into dropping some of the teams to balance the home and road games. "The players are definitely keeping their heads up," Quinn said after a 60-49 loss to Brebeuf on Jan. 27. "We'll focus on getting better each game during this tough stretch and hopefully we'll gear up for sectionals."
