Trojan girls win, boys place second in All-Catholic meet
Bishop Chatard's Muskat and Poore named top athletes
Cathedral's boys and Bishop Chatard's girls were team winners at the All-Catholic meet at IUPUI on Friday night. Bishop Chatard's Andrew Poore, who won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs, was voted the top male athletic. The Trojans' Kate Muskat, who won the 100 and 200, was top athlete for the girls. The Irish boys won with 142 points, with Bishop Chatard second (124) and Roncalli third (120). Bishop Chatard's girls, with 160 points, were followed by Roncalli (126), Cathedral (110) and Brebeuf Jesuit (78). Emily Breslin of Cathedral won the 400 in 1:01.17. Cathedral's Rose Plomin won the 1,600 in 5:17.98 and Katy Achtein of Cathedral won the 3,200 in 11:27.73. Breslin won the high jump at 5-2 and Kelly Gardner won the discus with a 116-01. Michelle Funke of Roncalli took the pole vault at 80.
