Emily Schroeder (Bishop Chatard High School) was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Volleyball Player of the Week on Oct. 2. The senior outside hitter led Miami University to its first conference victory with a match-high 21 kills and 15 digs against Western Michigan. She had 14 kills, 10 digs and six blocks in a match against Bowling Green earlier in the week. Schroeder also won the award twice during her freshman season.
