Clutch Boese saves Trojans
With the score tied and time running down, junior guard Anne Boese stole the ball and hit a short jumper with four seconds remaining, lifting Class 3A No. 5 Bishop Chatard (11-2) to a 52-50 win over McCutcheon in the championship game of the Rumble on the River on Friday night in Hanover.
Boese finished with a game-high 24 points, including six 3-pointers. Caroline Schutzman, who finished with eight points, was named tournament MVP.
Emily Hunsicker led all Mavericks with 15 points.

Bishop Chatard 57, North harrison 43
Anne Boese scored 13 of her total 14 points in the second half, leading Class 3A No. 6 Bishop Chatard High School to a 57-43 victory over North Harrison (5-6) on Thursday in the Rumble On the River girls basketball tournament at Southwestern (Hanover).
Bishop Chatard held a 19-17 halftime lead but staged a 38-26 second-half run. Caroline Schutzman tallied a game-high 23 points, pulled down six rebounds and had six steals for Bishop Chatard.
Ellen Alerding added 10 points, and Megan Gardner dished out seven assists for the Trojans.
Bishop Chatard (9-2) will play Friday at 11 a.m.
