Junior Kate Muskat and senior Andrew Poore anchored Bishop Chatard's efforts in Class 1A-3A competition at the Hoosier State Relays. Muskat won the 55-meter dash, and the 800 and 1,600 relay teams also won. Poore broke the meet record and posted the fastest time in the state this year for the 3,200 in 9 minutes, 12.34 seconds. Sophomore Carly Sobolewski also ran strong in the 3,200, placing fourth in 11:21.89. Sophomore Alex Metzger broke the school record in the pole vault at 9 feet, 3 inches. "We were just trying to use the meet as a springboard into our outdoor season," said coach Dan Kinghorn. "We think there were some good surprises, and it was pretty positive." Bishop Chatard's next event is the Archdiocesan Meet at Franklin Central on April 7.
