Bishop Chatard High School operates on a flexible schedule which incorporates a traditional seven course work load into six 60-minute blocks of time each day. Each course then meets for four class periods per week.
The primary academic focus at BCHS is on a college preparatory course of studies. An extensive Advanced Placement and honors program is available as well as general level courses and academic support for students with special needs. Our Summa Cum Laude Program is one of only three such programs in the country.
Several diplomas are available:
In addition to required courses, including Theology, each student must pass the Indiana End-of-Course Assessments in Algebra I & English 10 (or qualify for a state waiver). (See Diploma Requirements).
