To all students attending the Sophomore Retreat Monday: please arrive at Fatima Retreat House by 7:45 a.m. Don’t forget to bring a picture of your family.
Donate your used books to support the Hutson School Library. Esme' Turchetti, Emily Chaniga and Mary Najjar are collecting Used Books for The Hutson School, a non-profit school dedicated to teaching children with significant learning challenges in Indianapolis. All students and families wishing to donate their used books should bring them to BCHS no later than March 19th. Look for the cardboard boxes at school to deposit them in.
Mrs. Carson is accepting designs for the 2010 Walk-a-thon t-shirts. All designs are due by April 1. An executive committee will make the final decision and the winner will be announced April 5. Come up with a creative way to incorporate this year’s theme: Faith, Learning, Leadership and Service. See Ms. Jacobs, Ms. Rea, or Mr. Funk with any questions.
Reminders
Please come to the Battle of the Bands tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the main gym for $3.
A reminder to all people interested in auditioning for the Talent Show. Information sheets are due back to Mrs. Shaw in room 101 by the end of the school day on Monday March 15. Auditions will take place in the auxiliary gym Tuesday immediately after school. An audition time sheet will be posted by Mrs. Shaw's room Tuesday morning.
Forms for joining the new BCHS drum line are due by Wednesday. Forms can be picked up and returned to the music room. This drum line will be taught by Justin and Diego from Marian University beginning March 29 and concluding in a performance April 29th.
National Honor Society Officers will meet today during Activity Period in SBC 210.
Sports
Attention Boys golf team: there will be a meeting during activity period today in Room 208.
Anyone trying out for baseball Monday should see Coach Harmon in the auxiliary gym during the activity period today. He will have the schedule for Monday for you to pick up.
Girls Lacrosse played Heritage Christian Thursday night, winning 14-3. Emily Knotts and Rachel Ward each had 4 goals, Emily Moran and Meredith Rhodes each had 2 goals, and Klarisse Ledtke, Hayley Krause and Courtney Wheelock netted one apiece. Molly Wert had 4 saves with strong defense led by Leslie Cook and Kathleen Funk. The team travels to Louisville this weekend before and then faces Guerin Catholic Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
The boys volleyball team will be hosting the season opener tomorrow at 9a.m. You can catch the team in action throughout the day. Come support your fellow Trojans.
