The 1A Chatard Boy's Varsity Soccer Team lost a heartbreaker last night to perennial 2A power Cathedral, 0-1. The Trojan effort was led by the tenacious midfield play of Danny Scheidler, Patrick Thieme, Janum Sailor, Quinn Lechner, and Charlie Haimbaugh.

The boys varsity soccer team defeated 17th ranked Hamilton Heights on the road, 2-1. The Trojans applied pressure early and often building a 2-0 score with goals from Casey McBeath and assists from Nick Metzger and Danny Scheidler. The Huskies scored in the 59th minute to draw within 1, but the Trojan defense held stout to run out the clock.

The Trojan men's varsity team extended their winning streak to 3 games and improved their record to 5-5-1, with a 2-1 victory over Warren Central. The Trojans came from behind, with goals from Janum Sailor, on a corner kick from Danny Scheidler, and Nick Graff, on an assist from Janum Sailor.

Playing without their leading scorer, Casey McBeath, the Trojans tied the #6-ranked Park Tudor Panthers, 0-0. The game took place under a steady rain, which placed a premium on sound defense. The play of Beals, Ruby, Metzger, McReynolds, and Smith (11 saves) coupled with the aggressive midfield play of Sailor, Haimbaugh, and Scheidler held the Panthers in check.

The Men's Varsity Soccer 2011 Campaign concluded with a 3-0 loss to Park Tudor in the second round of sectionals. The Trojans finished the year with 7-7-2 record.
