Girls Swimming update: School diving record broken
Though some were sick, and some injured, the girls swimming and diving team swam well at their meet vs Beech Grove and Park Tudor. Sara Hutson braved through the 200 Free Relays despite a goggle malfunction. Laura Oldiges continued the relay with an intense finish. Jessica Cheesman pulled strong throughout her first 100 backstroke and the seasoned Mandy Meiner took 2nd in the backstroke. The biggest excitement came after the meet when we got back to school to look at the record board and realized that Mary Zimmerman broke the school record for her 6 dives last week! Congrats Mary!!! The scores: Beech Grove 132, Park Tudor 116, BCHS 65. The next meet for both the boys and girls will be Thursday, December 4th at Ben Davis.
Hockey Team update
The Cathedral-Chatard hockey team defeated Carmel White team 9-0 with a goal each by BCHS freshman players, Andrew and Ryan Christe. Sunday the team defeated Homestead 6-5 but lost to Carroll 5-2.
