Check back later for 2011/2012 details
In an effort to be good stewards of your resources and your children, Bishop Chatard High School is adopting a textbook rental system.
Beginning in the 2009-2010 school year, Bishop Chatard will own class textbooks and then rent them to each student. All students will be on the book rental system.
Note: Please sign and return the book rental agreement by May 31, 2010.
-
Cost:
The cost will be $325 per child. This will be added to your tuition bill and it will be paid the same as you are paying your tuition--either annually, quarterly or monthly. Consumable textbooks (workbooks, exam prep books, etc.) are included in the rental fee.
-
AP Class Books:
Books for the AP classes will be included in the book rental fee. However, because AP books are significantly more expensive, there may be a charge to take an AP class.
-
Exceptions:
There are two books that need to be purchased, not rented. Bibles (usually in the Freshman or new transfer year) and Writing Research Papers (usually in the Junior/Senior year) will have to be purchased from the bookstore (at cost). These are two books that we hope will continue with the student after they leave Bishop Chatard.

Condition of Books on Return:
As you would expect, books should be returned in reasonably good condition. The book rental agreement details the expected conditions. Please sign and return this form by May 31.
