For the second consecutive year, a BCHS student was named in the Indy Star's Top 40 list of Academic All-Stars.

2010: 24 students received AP Scholar Awards for outstanding achievement on AP tests taken in 2010.

2009 Yearbook Staff: awarded a silver medal from The Columbia Scholastic Press Association, including a 1st place overall award; was featured in the 2009 and the 2010 Gotcha Covered Look Book, a national guide to yearbook design, trends, etc.

2009 Student Newspaper: 1st place in 4 of 8 categories from the Indiana High School Press Association, including feature, news, sports and editorial writing; Gold Medalist award winner and All-Columbian honors (Columbia Scholastic Press)

2009-2010: 45 student athletes were named Academic All-State or Academic All-State Honorable Mention, and 10 were named Academic All-Americans. The 2009 Volleyball team was 1 of 4 in the state to be named "Team Academic All-American". This was the second consecutive year they received this award.

2009: Bishop Chatard students won three of the four Serra Club Essay awards for their essays on "How do priests, deacons, and religious brothers and sisters help us to hear God's call?"

Of the 24 seniors enrolled in the Academic Support Program, 100% enrolled in college; 5 graduated with high honors and 2 graduated with highest honors and received Academic Honors Diplomas. A total of $705,600 in scholarships was received by these students.

Our Mission: To equip students with a heart for God and the desire to serve Him while providing a quality Catholic education with guidance toward their future vocation

All students attend weekly Mass with their classmates and participate in a project-based service program. More than 93% participate in annual faith-based retreats.

Students can get involved in the annual Dance Marathon (which has raised over $215,000 for Riley Hospital), student ambassadors, SERV, band, theater, choir and many other activities.
