Transfer Students
Bishop Chatard High School admits students of any race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally available to students at the school.
Applications for admission of transfer students should be made 30 days in advance of the proposed entrance date so that each request may be reviewed carefully.
Bishop Chatard accepts transfer students provided that:
-
The student is not entering his or her senior year unless he or she is moving into the area from outside Indianapolis, the school he or she was attending was closed, or some other valid reason as determined by the admissions committee;
-
The student must be able to fit into the school's religious and academic programs for the particular school year. At time of application, an unofficial transcript of credit is to be sent to Bishop Chatard High School;
-
The parents do not have outstanding financial obligations to the student's previous school.
The transfer application process consists of two parts:
- A conference prior to admission
- The submission of the following documents (No admission decision will be made until the documents are received):
-
A completed Application Form
-
A copy of unofficial transcript
-
A list of current courses & grades, if applicable
-
A signed Release of Official Transcript Form
-
A completed Discipline Recommendation Form
-
The student is to have a Letter of Recommendation from his/her administrator and/or counselor
-
The student is to submit a statement, in his/her own handwriting, detailing the reasons why he/she wishes to transfer to Bishop Chatard High School
