Hoosier Horsepower Essay Contest


Deadline: February 17, 2012

Four (4) Indiana high school seniors will each receive $2,000 to help defer college education related expenses. Parents and students can go to www.colts.com/hoosierhorsepower to learn more.

Prom Genie, Inc.

Deadline: January 27th, 2012

Prom Genie, Inc. will be awarding three scholarships ($1500, $1000, and $500) for senior high school girls. Applicants should have a 3.0 or higher GPA, proof of financial assistance, 2 letters of recommendation and application to a 4 year college or university. Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship

The RMHC scholarship program seeks to invest in students who are exemplary role models in their communities and have the initiative to fulfill their educational goals. Graduating high school seniors can visit www.rmhc.org for more information.

Indiana University Alumni Chapter - Central Indiana Chapter

Deadline: January 27, 2012

Student must be a resident of Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks or Marion county and will be attending any campus of Indiana University in the fall 2012.

Hoosier Heroes Scholarship Program

Deadline: January 31, 2012

Hoosier Heroes is an essay competition created by Indiana Dollars for Scholars to provide Indiana high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to write about local citizens who have made significant contributions to society and who serve as role models and inspirational figures for youth. The top 10 winners each receive a $2,000 post-secondary scholarship and their Heroes also receive a $2,000 scholarship to designate to the Indiana high school of their choice. Ball State Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

Deadline: February 3, 2012

Available for children and grandchildren of active members of the Ball State University Alumni Association. A number of scholarships will be awarded, with the minimum amount of each award being $500. For more information visit: www.bsu.edu/alumni

Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: February 11, 2012

This scholarship of up to $1,500 for college or post-secondary technical schooling is awarded to an Indiana High School Senior whose parent is battling breast cancer or who as lost a parent to breast cancer. For application information, visit www.breastcancerplate.org.

National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences

Frank Kehoe Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: February 15, 2012

The Ancient Order of Hibernians in an Irish Catholic Organization dedicated to the preservation of Irish Heritage and the promotion of peace and unity in Ireland. This $1,500 scholarship is funded by brother Hibernian F. Patrick Kehoe, in loving memory of his father, past-president Frank Kehoe. For more information please see Mr. Mooney.

American Society of Materials (ASM)

The Student Affairs Committee of the American Society for Materials Indianapolis Chapter announces the availability of three (3) scholarships of $1,000 each. The University of Southern Indiana Greater Alumni Association Scholarship

Students must be a graduating senior with a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher to be eligible for this $2,000 scholarship.

Phi Beta Psi Sorority

Indiana Sheriff's Association Scholarship Fund

Indiana Latino Institute, Inc. Careers for the Future Scholarship

Deadline: May 31, 2012

Ten scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to winning applications. The scholarship will be distributed in two installments of $500 for two consecutive semestters. Second semester installment is contingent on maintaining 2.5 GPA. For more information please see Mr. Mooney.
