The BCHS Student Assistance Program
The Student Assistance Program is made up of key Bishop Chatard Administrators and Teachers (from the Guidance office, the Office of Campus Life and Ministry, the school's Social Worker, The Office of the Principal, and the Dean)
This program's purpose is to make sure that the needs of every student are being met. Students are referred to this program because they are struggling personally, socially, and/or academically.
The Student Assistance Program meets once a week to discuss issues surrounding these students and to create an action plan focused on the student overcoming obstacles and reaching his/her potential.
Becoming a part of the program
Any adult from the Bishop Chatard community can refer a student to this program. All referrals, students, and action plans adhere to a strict confidentiality policy.
If you feel you know a student who would benefit from this program, please fill out this form and return it to Tyler Mayer, Director of Student Life.
Questions? Please contact Tyler Mayer at 251-1451, Ext. 2228 or tmayer@bishopchatard.org

COLLEGE APPLICATION TIPS
When processing applications, universities must match your info from multiple sources - transcripts from e-transcript or schools; scores from testing agencies; online applications from students. When students use different versions or spellings of their first name, the task becomes complicated and may delay application processing.
Tip #1: When registering for SATs, colleges, etc, use your name as it appears on your high school record.
Tip #2: Use the same email address throughout your college search. Schools often use the email to match material to a particular student.
