» Academic All-State students are named Congratulations to the student-athletes that were honored for their academic achievements for the 2009/2010 school year. 48 students received academic recognition, including 10 Academic All Americans. 30 received First Team accolades, and 15 honorable mention. » Girls Golf places first Girls Golf Wins invite Congratulations to BCHS Girls Golf team as they won the Lawrence Central Invite, winning over 12 teams with a score of 310. Currently ranked 11th in the state, team members include: Paige Crafton, Cathy Doyle, Maggie Dodson, Sammie Summerlin, Christian Williams and Coach Beth Brogan. Congratulations!

» Miller named as All American Congratulations to Nolan Miller, Class of '11. Nolan was selected as a 2010 Adidas All American lacrosse player. Nolan participated in t he 2010 Adidas All American Lacrosse Classic in Maryland this past July.

» Yearbooks are here! If you haven't yet picked up your yearbook, stop by the front office from 9 a.m. - noon to get your copy. After school starts, you can get your yearbook in Room 210. Every student receives a copy of the yearbook.

» Become a BCHS Student Trainer Jason Morgan, our St Vincent Athletic Trainer, is in need of student trainers for the school year, especially for fall Football and winter Basketball. No experience is necessary, just an interest in sports training and team work. Jason will teach you all the necessary skills needed to keep our athletes in game shape. Please contact Jason (in the trainers room, hours are posted) to discuss your interest and watch/listen for a call out meeting once school begins.
» Service Opportunity: Special Olympics State Golf Tournament, Aug 21 Hundreds of athletes from around the state of Indiana come to compete and many volunteers are needed to serve as caddies from 1:00-4:00pm (approx) on Sat, Aug 21. No experience necessary. ...details

» Fundraising opportunity for your team or organization: Mandatory meeting on Aug 11 This year, BCHS teams and organizations will have the opportunity to staff the school concession stand at CYO games and other school events to earn money for your group. Informational meetings will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria. If your group is interested, you must send one representative who will be in charge of your group to one of these meetings, where you will learn about concession stand operations-opening, closing, etc. Only groups represented at one of these meetings will be given the opportunity to participate. Attend and find out more about this great opportunity!
» Dance Squad Callout Bishop Chatard is excited to announce that a BCHS Spirit Squad is being formed, which will at this time consist of the BCHS dance team and cheerleaders. The squads will perform both independently as well as together at games, pep rallies and other events. » Trojan Football Kick-Off Dinner Aug. 1; Football Parents Meeting BCHS football parents, family members, alumni and football supporters over the age of 21 are invited to help kick off the 2010 football season on Sunday, Aug. 1 from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the BCHS cafeteria. » Parent Meetings July 7 & 8, 2010
Senior Parents:An information night for all parents of incoming seniors will be held Wed, July 7, at 7:00pm in the school cafeteria. Parents will receive important information about college planning and events unique to the senior year.
Junior & Soph. Parents: An information night for parents of incoming Bishop Chatard sophomores and juniors will be held Thurs, July 8, at 7:00pm in the school cafeteria. Parents will receive updates on programs that their children will have the opportunity to participate in during the 2010-2011 school year.
School administrators will be present to answer questions each night. These gatherings offer the opportunity to socialize with other BCHS parents and meet some of the new school personnel who will be interacting with students during the year ahead.
Freshmen Parents: A meeting for freshmen parents was held June 15. New parent packets were mailed following the meeting to those who could not attend.
» Class of 2014 Parent Orientation and Welcome Night: June 15 All parents of incoming freshmen are invited to a Freshmen Parent Welcome and Information Night on June 15 in the school cafeteria. An athletic information session will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the new parent orientation beginning at 7 p.m. RSVP is requested by June 11. View invitation and RSVP information.
