Summer School Participants: School Information

Summer School will be in session from June 6 - June 29 (Monday-Friday), from 8AM to 12:30PM. On the first day, all students should report to the main office to receive their room assignment. Dress code is casual clothing (no uniform required), however please be appropriate. No short shorts, leggins, or yoga pants please. Please bring a notebook and pencil. Questions? Spring 2013 Trip to Italy

Art Teacher Linda Helmick is pleased to announce an exciting trip to Italy in March, 2013, that is open to all students. Make a deposit on the trip by July 1 and receive a discount. Read a letter to the parents. View the tour website for more information.

2012/2013 Summer and School Year Work Study Applications due May 24

The Work Study program for the summer and 2012/13 school year has been announced. Online application is now available. Note: First priority will be given to families that applied for financial aid. If there are any openings available after that, we will take other students/families. All interested are encouraged to apply. See Work Study for further information.

Summer College Prep Workshop changes format

Due to some conflicts, the scheduled college prep workshop will now be offered in a different format -- as informal sessions throughout June. Students can sign up for topics of interest to them. Offerings include: college search, college resumes, interviews, SAT/ACT prep, college essays and more. See Guidance for details.

AP & Final Exam Schedule

Summer Health and Safety Training

Venture into the medical field with a 3-4 week course to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, an EMT and other health and safety courses. See Guidance for information about this and other summer opportunities.

Marion County Fair Queeen Pageant: $1000 Scholarship

Applications are being taken for the Marion County Fair Queen. The young lady who wins will receive a $1,000 scholarship towards any college of her choice. Only 38 applications will be accepted. National Honor Society offers tutoring

The National Honor Society offers free tutoring before and after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Tutoring is on a drop-in basis, and will be in Room 305. See your guidance counselor if you have any questions.

LIBRARY TUTORS ONLINE

Live homework help from professors and tutors is available online through the Marion County Public Library. For more information go to imcpl.org/kids/tutorauth.php

The service is available 2 to 10 p.m. daily for students in grades 4 through 12 studying math, science, English or social studies. There is no charge to you - it is provided through a library grant. Give it a try, see if it doesn't take some of the stress out of homework.
