Bishop Chatard will be open at scheduled intervals during the week of May 26-29 for students to return textbooks and pick up items remaining in their lockers. Art supplies and loaner iPads should also be returned at this time.
Before arriving at school, please read the procedures that all students will be asked to follow and review these with your student. Students are assigned times to participate in the locker pick-up and textbook/supply return process by first letter of their last name, as shown in the following chart. These safeguards have been put in place to ensure that all students and staff can socially distance and remain safe.
Schedule for the Week of May 26 – 29

- Juniors (A-M) 1 – 2 p.m.; (N-Z) 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
- Sophomores (A-M) 9 – 10 a.m.; (N-Z) 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
- Freshman (A-M) 1 – 2 p.m.; (N-Z) 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
- Optional book/iPad ONLY return: 9 – 11 a.m.
- Any student not able to pick up locker items and return books/supplies during their assigned time slot may do so from 12 – 2 p.m.
Item pick-up and return procedures
Students will be required to enter through Door 10 and go to the main gym. Students will put their textbooks/BC supplies (including art supplies, loaner iPads, etc.) on tables lined against the south wall of the gymnasium, labeled by subject. If students have belongings remaining in a locker room locker, they will be instructed to retrieve those first. Staff will be stationed throughout the building to direct students.
After placing their books/items on the tables in the gym, students will line up, distanced appropriately, and wait to be released to their lockers. Students will go to lockers 25 at a time to remove any items remaining in their lockers. Students are asked to bring a bag with them, but plastic trash bags will be available for students, if needed. Students will place items in their personal bag, leave the locker open with the lock locked, and leave the building through Door 5.
Student lockers have been cleaned by administrative and maintenance staff. All lockers will be open at arrival. Personal belongings, locker shelves and binders have been left inside lockers. No bathrooms/trash cans/or other classrooms will be made available to students, and students are asked to take all items remaining in their lockers home to be sorted and thrown out, if desired.
If your student does not have anything in his/her locker OR you would prefer that your student(s) not come to school, please email Mr. Reilly at firstname.lastname@example.org. Items remaining after May 29 will be thrown away.
Please advise your child that students will not be allowed to linger or hang out while in the building. This policy in in place to protect the safety of all students and staff.
