School Messenger “Opt-in” to receive text messages

Parents of freshman or other students new to Bishop Chatard must “opt-in” to our School Messenger system in order to receive urgent notifications via text message from BCHS. This would include notification of weather-related delays or cancellations, or any other time-sensitive situation that the school needed to communicate to you. Parents are automatically registered to receive emails and phone calls — this additional step is required only to receive text messages.

A test of the system will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.
To register your number for text message notification, text “Y” (for “yes”) to 67587. You should receive a response that says you are registered.

Parents who have changed their mobile phone number in the last year must also go through the opt-in process to receive mobile calls and texts.

Go to our School Messenger FAQs page for details about the process and troubleshooting.
