Join Bishop Chatard theatre students and BCHS Director, Bri Lindsey, for a “Creating a Superhero” Character Workshop.
The workshop will be held on Monday, November 12, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at BCHS. It is open to all 5th – 8th grade students. There is no charge — Creativity is the price of admission!
Students will create an original superhero, draw a costume, and create a voice and movement for the character, with all of the heroes meeting at the end for a superhero improvisation. Students will delve into how an actor creates a character using improv, physicality, script analysis and pure imagination. Middle school students will learn from high school actors how to make a character become real on stage.
The workshop will be held in Bishop Chatard’s Kyle Guyton Theatre (Room 102) and will conclude in the cafeteria with pizza, drinks and conversation with the BCHS Theatre Department’s students and staff.
The workshop is free but space is limited, so sign up today. Registration will close on November 8.
