The Annual Fund Kick-Off Dinner

The Bishop Chatard High School Board of Regents invites you to the 2010 Annual Fund Kick-Off Dinner. The evening will begin with hors d'oeuvres and tours followed by a complimentary dinner and program. The Annual Fund Dinner is the kick-off for Bishop Chatard's Annual Fund Campaign. The 2010-2011 Annual Fund Goal is $450,000. All funds raised will be used to support teachers, technology and tuition assistance.

BCHS Back-to-School Night Sept. 8

Bishop Chatard will host a Back-to-School Night for parents on Sept. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. The evening will begin in the main gymnasium with a general session outlining the evening. Parents will then have the opportunity to progress through an eight-period mini-schedule, allowing them to meet their child's teachers and better understand the expectations and procedures in each classroom. The evening will conclude at 8 p.m.

Parents: Volunteer with the Trinity Club or Chatard-A-Bration

From hosting receptions and teacher luncheons to helping with student activities such as Dance Marathon or Prom, to organizing Chatard-A-Bration to supporting the community with prayer-- there is a place for your talent and time here at Bishop Chatard as a parent volunteer. » Class of 2013 Class Ring orders Herff Jones will be at Bishop Chatard on Thurs, Sept. 2 and Fri, Sept. 3 to take class ring orders from members of the Class of 2013. Orders will be taken in the cafeteria during lunch periods on Thursday from students whose last names begin with A - M and on Friday from students whose last names begin with N - Z. On Thursday, Herff Jones will be in the school's front lobby after school until 6 p.m. for parents who would like to view samples and place orders. Order information was distributed to all BCHS sophomores and information has been mailed to parents. A ring blessing ceremony will be held on December 1, 2010.

» Eat chicken, win big! Chick-fil-A Challenge: Sept 4-10 The Bishop Chatard cheerleaders will once again challenge the Cathedral squad in a battle to see which school can eat more chicken! Visit Chick-fil-A at either the Keystone at the Crossing or Castleton locations the week of Sept. 4-10 and put your receipt in the BCHS box. » Girls Basketball Call-Out Meeting Sept. 12 A call-out meeting for BCHS girls interested in playing basketball during the 2010-2011 season will be held on Sunday, Sept. 12, from 7 to 7:30 p.m. in the BCHS cafeteria. Girls and their parents are invited to attend and learn more about the program, expectations, and excitement of playing for the Lady Trojans! Questions? » Echocardiograms offered for student athletes: Aug 31, Oct 19 St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana is offering $20 echocardiograms for student athletes. See Athletics for details.

» Sports Photo Buttons available Wearing a photo button is a great way to support your athlete! Representatives of the BC Booster Club photographed all fall student athletes on picture day and are prepared to create 3" buttons (cost:$6) for proud parents and fans. Complete the order form and submit it with payment to the school athletic office. Show your Trojan Pride with a photo button of your favorite athlete(s)!

» Late arrivals added to school calendar A series of late arrival dates have been added to this year's school calendar to accommodate Mission Development Meetings for the BCHS faculty. First period begins at 9:10 a.m. on late arrival days. View the updated school calendar!

» Community Service Day Volunteers needed Attention all adults! Bishop Chatard High School is need of adults to be a part of our Community Service Day Oct 27. On this day, our entire school will be in the community performing works of service to those in need. In order to make this day a success, we need help from parents, grandparents, alumni and any other adults. » A Promise To Keep Volunteers Needed A Promise To Keep is in need of adult volunteers to help train our student mentors. Adult mentors would be responsible for meeting with one or more groups of students for about an hour a week for three weeks this fall. ...details

» St. Lawrence Fall Festival Sept. 17 - 19 All are invited to enjoy the St. Lawrence Fall Festival being held Sept. 17 - 19 from 8 to 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 2 to 5pm on Sunday. The festival is being held rain or shine under the big tent at St. Lawrence! The celebration will include great food, kids games, games of chance, great headliner bands and much more!
Students who would like to volunteer for the festival are encouraged to contact Chuck Harr at 317-506-8600.

» Zumba class offered at BCHS This dance-based fitness class will be low-pressure and a lot of fun for all fitness levels. The classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:3pm. Women and girls of all ages are welcome. Contact Jessica Daugherty at (765) 427-6243 for more information.
