Bishop Chatard is an open-enrollment school committed to the Catholic mission of providing education to as many students as resources allow. All students, because they are made in the image and likeness of God, have infinite value and deserve a Bishop Chatard education.
While all Bishop Chatard families will pay some level of tuition, we are committed to working with any family who desires a Catholic education for their children. During the 2021-2022 school year, 47 percent of our students received some form of financial aid.
All financial aid available at BCHS is based on need as determined by an independent service or criteria set by the state or granting organization.
BCHS families have access to the following forms of financial assistance:
- Financial aid provided by Bishop Chatard financial aid funds
- Indiana School Choice Scholarships (commonly known as ‘vouchers’)
- Tax Credit Scholarships (TCS) via Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGO)
- BCHS Need-Based Tuition Assistance Grants
Any family interested in financial assistance is encouraged to apply.visit our Financial Aid page for eligibility, options and application details Apply For Financial Aid
Financial aid applications for the Class of 2026 incoming freshmen are due by December 13, 2021.
Financial Aid Info Night
Bishop Chatard’s financial aid policies and the application process are detailed for prospective and current families each November during a Financial Aid Information Night. Parents are encouraged to ask questions and talk to the school’s business office personnel about the types of financial aid available and the process to apply for those.
When: November 17, 2021 – Wednesday
For the 2021-2022 school year, tuition at Bishop Chatard is $10,290 for a student receiving the archdiocesan rate; $13,415 for a student receiving the non-archdiocesan rate. Because BCHS is the North Deanery high school of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Catholics participating in an archdiocesan parish receive a discount.
Discounts are also provided for families with multiple students at the school and for full-time employees of the archdiocese.View full tuition schedule
