Art Club creates memories for Columbian students

Bishop Chatard Art Club members recently sent their artwork to Columbia as part of the Memory Project.

In the project, personal photos from a Memory Project participating school were sent to BCHS where the students sketched the portraits and sent them back to the children at the school. Sometimes these sketches are the only photos a student will have of themselves.

Sketches from the 2018/19 Memory Project were of children living in urban slums in Columbia. The joy on the faces of these lovely children illustrates the healing power of art. Thank you for watching this video.
