Bishop Chatard will again be offering Driver Education this summer. The 2019 Summer Driver’s Education Course at Bishop Chatard is a state-certified course open to all students who are at least 15 years of age by June 1, 2019. The cost is $400, which includes both the classroom session and the in-car driving sessions. Registration for BCHS students opens Thursday, February 21. Any student that does not attend BCHS is welcome to register beginning Monday, April 1.

Classroom Sessions: Each student must attend either Session I or Session II of the classroom portion of the course. Classroom sessions run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and include Saturdays. Session I is scheduled from May 28 to June 7, 2019, with makeup days on June 8 and 10. Session II is set for June 10 to June 20, 2019, with makeup days of June 21 and 22.

In-Car Sessions: These sessions will be scheduled by the student on the first day of class. In-car sessions are available from May 28 to early August.

Each student will receive the required forms that allow them to get their driver’s education permit from the license branch three weeks before the beginning of class.

As Feb. 21 approaches, check your school communications for registration details. On April 1, registration links will be available here for students outside of Bishop Chatard.
