What Is SCOIR?

Scoir

Bishop Chatard High School uses Scoir (pronounced score), an online college and career planning tool, to help students explore careers & colleges, manage applications, and track progress step-by-step. It’s a valuable resource for both students, parents and BCHS counselors especially during the college search and application process.

Go To Scoir

Students should have the Scoir App on their iPads so they are able to receive communications from the system - our email settings prevent communications from Scoir otherwise. After a student is registered in the system, click on the Google icon on the Scoir login page, to login with your BCHS Google account.

For Students

  • Be sure your SCOIR profile uses your legal name and personal email (not your BCHS email) and that both match what you will use on college applications.
  • Sign up for virtual college rep visits under Calendar, starting in August and September
  • Explore colleges under the Colleges tab. Colleges come to life through pictures, videos and links that highlight active student clubs and organizations. If you are interested in the college, click “follow” to receive updates.
  • Following college in SCOIR helps you identify colleges that match your personal and academic interests
  • Complete your Scoir Profile by adding career assessment results, extracurricular activities, college preferences, etc.
  • Request letters of recommendation from teachers. Your SCOIR profile helps them write more personal letters.
  • Invite you parents to view the software

  • Students should use the Common Application to APPLY to colleges and send certain parts of the application.
  • Scoir is how you communicate with the BCHS College Counselor and how BCHS sends transcripts, letters of recommendation, Secondary School Reports and BCHS school profile to your colleges.
  • Students send SAT/ACT scores through College Board
