Pack the Chapel Weekly Events

Everyone is always welcome to join in prayer during these times:
  • April 9 (Tues): Communion Service in the SBC Chapel at 7:20 a.m.
  • April 10 (Wed): Communion Service in the SBC Chapel at 7:20 a.m.
  • April 11 (Thurs): All School Mass/ Senior Grandparent Mass - Seminar A
  • April 12 (Fri): Adoration in the SBC Chapel at 7:20 a.m.

  • Prom is May 4 - Tickets are now on sale. If you are bringing a guest who is not a current BCHS student, don't forget to submit the Guest Form by April 29.
  • Eclipse Day (April 8) is an e-Learning Day
  • Boys Soccer Callout: April 9: During Seminar in the Cafeteria. See Coach Carney for details!
  • Blood Drive Signup: April 9: Representatives from Versiti will be in the cafeteria during lunch to help students sign up for Friday's Blood Drive! The Blood Drive is April 12.
  • St. Augustine Prom Meeting: April 10: There will be a mandatory meeting in the Main Gym during Seminar for all students participating in Friday's St. Augustine Prom. See Mrs. Shaw if you have any questions. If you still need to sign up - Sign up here!
  • Best Buddies Meeting: April 10 - During Seminar in the Aux Gym. See Mrs Bultinck for details!
  • Cheerleading Clinics & Tryouts: April 17, 23, 26, 27 Be a part of an up and coming program with big plans ahead. Clinic and tryouts are scheduled.
  • Looking for something to do this summer?: Our Summer Program page has various job, enrichment and learning opportunities.
  • CSI: Chicago Summer Service: Applications due April 19: Looking for a great way to put your faith into action this summer? Consider CSI: Chicago, July 8 -11, 2024!
  • National Honor Society members: Tutors are needed: Tutors are needed for after school study tables, please see Mr. Horrigan or your BCHS email to sign up.
  • Spring Intramural Basketball Roster is announced.

College / Career Corner

  • Seniors: FAFSA Applications are due for every Indiana senior on April 15.
  • Summer Opportunity: Depauw U. Gateway to Gold Summer Experience: Two-day, one-night on-campus experiences in June and July. $20 tuition for families earning less than $175,000.
  • Butler Way Leadership Camp: June 10 - 13 This camp on the Butler campus is a fun, interactive program which allows high school students who will be entering ninth through twelfth grade in the 2024-2025 school year to gain practical leadership skills that can be used in a variety of settings. Camp runs from June 10 -13. Cost is $75 (Scholarships are available.)

Christian Service Opportunities

Area 1 Opportunities: Service to BCHS, Parish or Faith Community

  • Bishop Chatard Track and Field Assistance : Bishop Chatard Track and Field Assistance needs help hosting home meets on April 10 (Wed) and April 29 (Mon)).
  • St. Pius X Walk/Run: April 13: St. Pius X Church is holding a parish run/walk on Sat, April 13, from 8:15 to 10:30 a.m., and needs course marshals.
  • Trojan Tots Service: After school each day: see Ms. Katra in guidance for more information! Sign up here!

Area 2 Opportunities: Service rooted in Catholic Social Teaching

  • St. Augustine Prom is Friday, April 12: from 6:30-9:00 p.m. 80-90 students are needed! 3 CST service hours for the event! Attend the mandatory information meeting on April 10 in the Main Gym during Seminar for all students participating. See Mrs. Shaw if you have any questions.   • Spring Blood Drive is Friday, April 12: Earn two CST hours by donating the gift of life! Open to 16 years (with parent permission) and older.
  • Summer CSI: Chicago Service Trip: Applications due April 19

  • Signup for NHS Tutoring
  • Free SAT, AP and Math Tutoring via Schoolhouse.world for grades 8-12. Free tutoring for SATs, math courses and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Live small-group tutoring via Zoom will focus on SAT reading, writing and math as well as AP course tutoring in calculus, statistics, chemistry, biology, physics and computer science.
