BCHS receives an amazing amount of summer program information from colleges and other organizations. These programs may revolve around a career or field of study and are also a good way to explore a college you might be interested in. These often have a cost, but some can be found that are not so expensive.
If you have a specific interest, contact the BCHS school counselors to see what information they have. Or, look on the website of the college you are interested in to find what they are offering.
Registration for these programs often opens in early spring, with late spring deadlines, so plan ahead.

Saints & Scholars: July 14-19 or July 21- 26
- Explore the session’s fundamental question: What kind of saint is God calling me to become? while choosing an academic track: media, ecology, education, visual arts
- Includes community service, liturgical opportunities and fun!
- Receive 2 college credits in Theology (not applicable for BCHS or IN requirements)
- Cost: $425 includes on campus accommodations. Contact Ms. Saurine for a code to receive $100 off.

Cross & Anchor: July 7 – 12
- Live on a college campus—and benefit from the peer mentorship of select Holy Cross College students
- Participate in lively seminar discussions that are rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition and guided by faculty from Holy Cross College and the University of Notre Dame
- Explore community organizations related to business, education, sports, and visual arts
- Share community-building experiences with students from Indiana
- The week is free and includes campus accommodations and meals. Open only to Indiana residents
- Only 40 spots per session
Notre Dame Vision
- June 24-28 or July 8-12. May 17 application deadline. $475.
- These conferences offer an opportunity to be on campus and attend a theologically-rich experience.

interactive program which allows high school students who will be entering ninth through twelfth grade in the 2024-2025 school year to gain practical leadership skills that can be used in a variety of settings. Our goal is to empower leaders for the future.

Looking for an experience that is filled with energy, fun, and faith? Join the fun group of camp counselors this summer by becoming a camp counselor. Seniors are able to work residential camps and sophomores and juniors are able to work day camps.

The University of Chicago’s summer pre-college programs draw from the multidisciplinary emphasis and intellectual richness of the College’s Core curriculum. We offer a variety of courses in diverse subject areas and engagement levels that match any motivated high school student. For Summer 2024, we will host both residential programs and online courses, including:
Enrichment Programs
With enhanced financial support to cover program costs, talented and motivated students have the opportunity to reside on campus and benefit from co-curricular programming to prepare them for the highly selective admissions process while learning about topics like economics, freedom of expression, leadership, or quantum physics. Some programs seek a nomination from a teacher or counselor. If you are interested, see Mrs. Saurine in the School Counseling Department.

Immersion Programs
Through workshop discussions, research projects, and other activities, students live on campus and immerse themselves within a specific topic through three-week-long undergraduate-level courses for pre-college students designed by UChicago faculty and instructors. Course subjects include astrophysics, biotechnology, coding, data science, economics, literature, molecular engineering, political science, psychology, and more.

Pre-College Connect
New this year! Students can take a remotely taught online course for two weeks and then cap off the course by spending one week on our campus to experience residential life and meet their classmates and instructor in person!

Outside of the Enrichment Programs, all Summer Session students can apply for need-based financial aid, including full scholarships. Enrolled Summer Session students can participate in the Admissions Academy, a series of workshops that focus on the holistic admissions process to provide insights on admissions to highly selective colleges and universities and offer essay writing tips.
Students should apply by March 5th for the best selection of courses!
