Immersion Trips

Mission/Immersion Service Trips

BCHS offers several opportunities throughout the year for students to experience the culture of other communities while serving people in an area outside of our city through immersion mission trips.

Christian Service Immersion Trips (CSI) will meet the Christian Service requirement for junior and senior year (i.e. if you are a junior, it will fulfill your junior year service hour requirements)! Further, if you wish to attend an international CSI trip (ex. El Salvador) in the future, you must first attend a domestic trip.

CSI: Chicago Service Immersion Trip: June 26-July 1

Are you interested in putting your faith into action? Consider Campus Ministry’s CSI: Chicago service immersion trip. BCHS students will serve marginalized people in Chicago, pray and reflect on their experiences together, practice simple living, and learn about Catholic Social Teaching. For rising juniors and seniors, this counts for Christian Service hours for the 2022-23 school year! There are 20 spots available. Rising juniors and seniors will be given priority.

Please read the information sheet for more details.

El Salvador Immersion Trip

Look for details for the next trip to Guarjila, El Salvador, in the summer of 2023.

RT @cliffWISH8 The run this team is on, on paper, is remarkable. 13-0. Best start in school history. No one saw it coming. However, 'remarkable' doesn't do the coach you are staring at justice. Don't have enough time, or tears, to explain here. Full story ahead @WISH_TV at 5:50PM & 6:40PM
