Where can I find that? What is that link?

New Parent Orientation: June 25 – Mark your calendar!

Mark your calendar for this important orientation meeting for parents of incoming freshmen and transfer students beginning at 6:30 p.m. at BCHS. On this evening, the Spirit Shop will also be open (5:30 – 8 p.m.) and the Used Uniform Sale will be going on (5 – 8 p.m.).

Looking Ahead

Proficiency Tests: June 4 - 6

Students can take proficiency tests for Algebra, Spanish, Latin and Geometry in early June to help with placement levels in their Freshman classes. Tests will be given at BCHS as follows:

  • Algebra: June 4 (Tues): at Noon
  • Spanish or Latin: June 5 (Wed): at Noon
  • Geometry: June 6 (Thurs): at Noon

Summer School: Health Class Registration is due May 3

BCHS will offer Health Class during the summer 2024. One credit hour is earned for the course. This summer school class is a great way to earn a credit to open space in a schedule for other courses over your student’s high school career. Cost is $200. Classes run Monday to Friday, from June 3 – 21 from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m.

This course is conducted in-person on the Bishop Chatard campus.

The BCHS Used Uniform & Spiritwear Sale will take place on June 25, from 5:00 p.m. – 8 p.m., in the BCHS cafeteria.

Sports Physicals Night at BCHS - June 3

BCHS Sports Physical Night will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, between 6 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at BCHS. Spots are very limited. This is for BCHS student-athletes ONLY! Pre-registration and pre-payment are required to reserve your spot.

Summer Sports Conditioning - Physicals and Forms

Summer conditioning for various sports will be added to the summer conditioning page as they are received.

Any student wishing to play must have a physical on file with Final Forms, found on the BCHS athletics website, before any participation.

Football: Summer weights, conditioning and practice for freshman football start Monday, June 3. Any student wishing to play must have a physical on file with Final Forms before any participation. Questions? Contact Coach Kevin Jennings, kjennings@bishopchatard.org.

Cross Country:

Bishop Chatard Cross Country summer conditioning begins Tuesday, June 4 and will be held every Monday – Friday from 6:45 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. (summer school students will be released at 7:50 a.m.). BCXC camp will be held July 22nd-24th and the first official practice is August 5!

Boys Soccer
Workouts begin on May 29 and are held in the mornings, 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Citizenship Grants: Interest form is due May 15

Money earned during the summer from this program (formerly called work study) is then applied to the student’s tuition bill. These spots are prioritized for those having a financial need. If you are interested, submit our interest form below by May 15, 2024.

Immunization Records

Immunization records need to be up-to-date by the beginning of the school year, August 2024. Documents can be emailed to nurses@bishopchatard.org

Join us for a Freshman Parent Coffee: August 8

After dropping off your freshman at Orientation on August 8, join members of the Bishop Chatard Trinity (parent) Club for a cup of coffee, breakfast pastry, and an opportunity to meet other parents of the Class of 2027.
After dropping your student at Door #10, drive around and park in the southeast area of the parking lot. We’ll meet in the Stadium Concession Stand Plaza. We look forward to celebrating the beginning of your child’s high school career at BCHS!

Music Parents Meeting: August 3

If you have a child in the BCHS Music program, whether in a one semester class or an ensemble (band, choirs, orchestra), please plan on attending this informational meeting on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023, from 7-8 p.m. in the band room (115). The Music Boosters will meet after this parent meeting.

Official school uniforms can be purchased through Schoolbelles (School code: S1664), online or through their store at 6315 N. Keystone Ave.

BCHS Uniform Sweatshirts are only available through the BCHS Spirit Shop

The approved uniform sweatshirts, 1/4 zip or crewneck, can only be purchased through the BCHS Spirit Shop, located by the concession stand downstairs near the cafeteria, or through the online Spirit Shop.

Summer Sports Moratorium

During these 2 weeks in the summer, all athletic activity halts. IHSAA schedules one and BCHS adds another.

  • BCHS Moratorium: July 27 – August 4, 2024

Sports Physicals for 2024/2025

Physicals performed after April 1, 2024 will be accepted for the entire 2024/2025 school year for your athlete.
