Schoolbelles has informed us that some BCHS school uniform shirts, pants and shorts continue to be on backorder.

Through Friday, Aug. 12, the school will be lenient in its uniform policy with those students who are on the Schoolbelles backorder list. Students who have not received new items ordered from Schoolbelles may wear non-Schoolbelles khaki pants, khaki shorts, and Bishop Chatard spirit wear shirts to school next week.

All students who have a Schoolbelles uniform are expected to wear it to school beginning Tuesday, Aug. 9. Schoolbelles is keeping Bishop Chatard apprised as to the number of families still awaiting orders, and we will provide an update if delays continues beyond next week.

If you have questions or have trouble acquiring alternative apparel to wear, please contact Mr. Vince Lorenzano at vlorenzano@bishopchatard.org.

Indiana School Choice Scholarships (Vouchers)

  • Application time is running out
If you need financial assistance or think you qualify for a state choice voucher, you are running out of time to apply. We need to do voucher paperwork as soon as possible in order to complete it timely. To apply, please use the link above for FACTS to submit an application. Please note, you will need to upload your entire 2021 federal tax return to your application. This means all pages, forms and schedules that are a part of your return.
  • Applied and expecting a voucher?:
If you have already applied for aid and are also expecting a voucher, make sure to check your email for the paperwork to sign. It will come from AdobeSign; check your spam folder as well.
We are asking that all financial aid and voucher paperwork be completed before the students return to school on August 9 so it is imperative that you take care of this, if you have not already done so.

Indiana Choice Scholarship Program “State Voucher” applications must be completed by Aug. 15, 2021, in order to receive the state voucher for the 2021-2022 school year.

The BCHS business office must have your 2020 tax return as soon as possible, in order to process any financial aid or Indiana Choice Scholarship applications. Even though the IRS allows an extension to file until October 15, the State of Indiana does not recognize that for the purpose of the choice scholarships. If you qualify for a choice scholarship but do not comply with the timeline and miss the window, the difference will not be made up in direct BCHS aid.

Contact Karen Feeney, Tuition Manager, if you have questions about the status of your account in regards to this rule at kfeeney@bishopchatard.org.

Visit our Vouchers page for additional information and eligibility guidelines.

    BCHS Financial Aid
REMINDER: In order to receive any financial aid from Bishop Chatard, you must apply for financial aid through the BCHS FACTS financial aid. No financial aid will be awarded unless a FACTS application is complete.
Visit our FACTS FAQS PAGE for FACTS application and information.

    Tuition FACTS Payment Options
Below are the payment options available through FACTS:

    • Annually: One-time payment made by July 30; when paying by FACTS, cash, or check, receive a $200 discount.
    • Semi-Annually (FACTS): Semi-annual payments are made on July 5, 2021, and January 5, 2022.
      Quarterly (FACTS) – Quarterly payments are made on July 5, 2021; Oct. 5, 2021; Jan. 5, 2022; and April 5, 2022.

    • Ten Month (FACTS): Ten payments beginning in July 2021 and concluding in April 2022.
Some FACTS payment plans will not start until August and will run through May as the business office deals with the financial aid/Indiana Choice Scholarship program changes.

Families on FACTS payment plans: The BCHS Business office is still working on getting everyone’s plan up and running this year. Due to the significant changes to the Indiana Choice program, this is a much longer process this year. Many families will not start until August (but will get their full 10-month cycle). If you have not been set up for your normal first payment in July, we will get to you for August.
