2022 Back to School Information and forms
Powerschool Update
Before orientation, parents will receive an email about setting up their PowerSchool account. At that time you’ll be able to access student schedules. We appreciate your patience as we are transitioning to our new PowerSchool system through the Archdiocese. (Powerschool is our student information software, storing family information, grades, and transcripts.)
Sophomores, juniors and seniors who will be attending Bishop Chatard High School for the first time in 2022-2023 are required to attend a short Transfer Student Orientation program on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 at 1 p.m. This orientation session will last approximately 90 minutes.
While at orientation, students will hear from Principal John Hasty, walk their class schedule and receive their iPad. Students should wear their school uniforms to this session. When arriving, students should come to the main office where they will be directed to the orientation site. We look forward to seeing your student on August 8. Once again, welcome to Bishop Chatard!
Orientation for all upperclassmen will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 1 p.m., and transfer students also attend that session.
Student orientation for all members of the sophomore, junior and senior classes will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. This is a school day for students, and all are required to attend wearing the school uniform.
Each student needs to print and bring the picture registration form to Orientation. All students will have their school photo taken at their orientation. Any parent wishing to order photos may do so using the form. Payment is required at the time photos are taken.

Schoolbelles has informed us that some BCHS school uniform shirts, pants and shorts continue to be on backorder.
Through Friday, Aug. 12, the school will be lenient in its uniform policy with those students who are on the Schoolbelles backorder list. Students who have not received new items ordered from Schoolbelles may wear non-Schoolbelles khaki pants, khaki shorts, and Bishop Chatard spirit wear shirts to school next week.
All students who have a Schoolbelles uniform are expected to wear it to school beginning Tuesday, Aug. 9. Schoolbelles is keeping Bishop Chatard apprised as to the number of families still awaiting orders, and we will provide an update if delays continues beyond next week.
If you have questions or have trouble acquiring alternative apparel to wear, please contact Mr. Vince Lorenzano at vlorenzano@bishopchatard.org.
- Go to Settings > Mail > Account > Gmail > Re-enter Password
- Re-enter their school password and they should be able to open their email account.
Some freshmen and transfer students have not yet received a Bishop Chatard email address. Any student who has not received his/her BC email address will receive that on Orientation Day.
Families need not apply ONLY if they are directly certified — those who receive Medicaid, TANF, SNAP, etc. Qualified families will be notified by mail.
As of Aug. 1, freshmen and transfer students cannot yet submit an application. Parents will be notified when that process can begin.
If your situation changes, applications can be made at any time throughout the school year.
If a student qualifies for free/reduced lunches, he/she automatically qualifies for textbook assistance, so all are encouraged to apply.
