Registering for Freshman Year Courses
Step 1: Make your Course Registration Appointment
In these in-person appointments, students together with their parents/guardians will have the chance to talk with one of our school counselors and register for 2024/2025 freshman courses. The appointments are in late February.
Step 2: Prepare for your Appointment
Before you meet with a counselor to select your freshman courses, review the following:
Appointment signup opens May 7 at 10 am. We suggest you register as soon as you can for these popular spots.
Sports physicals good for the 2025-2026 school year will be offered at BCHS on Monday, May 19, 2025, between 5:40 pm – 8:00 pm. Cost is $30 per physical. Appointments are required and open only to current BCHS students and incoming BCHS freshmen. Space is very limited, so signup soon!

Citizenship Grants provide a way for your student to earn money towards tuition via summer work at BCHS. These grants are designed and prioritized to help those with financial aid need, but open to all students. Apply by May 12.

Students can take proficiency tests for Algebra I, Spanish I, Latin I, and Geometry on Saturday, April 26, 2025, to help with placement levels in their freshman classes. Tests will be given at BCHS as follows:
- Spanish or Latin: 8:00 – 9:00 am
- Algebra: 9:30 – 10:30 am
- Geometry: 11:00 am – noon
*These will be available during the test, or print and bring them with you

Callout meeting will be held on April 28, 7:00-7:45 pm, in the cafeteria. Enter through Door #10. We encourage incoming freshman families interested in the girls’ soccer program to attend the meeting for information on the coaching staff, summer program, and key dates. BCHS will offer Health Class during the summer. The class will be conducted Monday to Friday, June 2 – 20, from 8 to 11:30 am. One credit hour is earned for the course. This summer school class is a great way to earn a credit hour and open space in a schedule for other courses over the student’s high school career. The cost is $200.
This course is conducted in person on the Bishop Chatard campus.

The BCHS Band/Orchestra Mini-Camp is just a little taste of what to expect as a Concert Band/Orchestra member, and to take home some materials and music that will allow you to ‘hit the ground running’ when the school year begins. Please RSVP to Mr. Duray, Director of Music at mduray@bishopchatard.org with your name and the instrument you will be playing anytime before May 28th, so we can set you up for the summer!
If your schedule doesn’t allow you to attend the Mini-Camp, please let Mr. Duray know that as well, and he can arrange for you to come in and grab what you need for the summer.

Boys Tennis Team Tryouts will begin at 3:00 pm on Aug 4, 2025 at Devon Country Club. Questions? Contact Tennis coach Molly Card Beckmann at mbeckmann@bishopchatard.org
Any student wishing to play must have a signed IHSAA physical submitted by July 31, 2025.
In addition, all students participating in any BCHS sport will need a Final Forms account. Physicals need to be conducted after April 1 to be valid for the entire school year. These forms are now ready to complete for the 2025-26 school year.

Enjoy the fun as you drop your student off for the first day of school and orientation between 7:15 – 7:45 am, and then join us for a light breakfast at the New Parent Meet and Greet (August 6).
